The MINST & MIST Periodontal Regeneration Course
A combined pre-course webinar and one day workshop for dentists, hygienists & therapists, presented by Prof Luigi Nibali & Dr Varkha Rattu
After the overwhelming success of the last two courses, the NSK Non-Surgical and Surgical Regeneration Course returns for its third year. Based on strong delegate feedback requesting access to both practical sessions, this year’s format has been enhanced to deliver an even more immersive hands-on experience.
Join us on Saturday 27th June 2026 for an exclusive blended learning experience combining pre-course online theory with a hands-on workshop, led by Professor Luigi Nibali, Specialist in Periodontics and Director of the Postgraduate Programme in Periodontology at King’s College London, together with Dr Varkha Rattu.
Timetable:
- Pre-Course online theory - Thursday 4th June 2026 - Duration: 2 hours (TIME TBC , also available on demand)
- Full Day Hands-on Workshops - Saturday 27th June 2026 - Stevenage, Herts
This course provides a comprehensive overview of non-surgical and surgical periodontal regeneration, combining biological principles with practical clinical techniques. Delegates will explore evidence-based approaches to case selection and treatment planning, helping them develop the confidence and skills needed to manage complex periodontal defects.
The cohort will learn the theoretical aspects of:
- Intrabony defects – causes, types, classification
- Wound healing – with a particular focus on regeneration vs repair
- Principles and techniques used in regenerative surgery
- Principles and techniques used for minimally invasive non-surgical therapy (MINST)
The workshops will run sequentially and are an opportunity to have 'hands-on' experience with NSK products on specialised models with intrabony defects.
Non-Surgical Regeneration workshop (AM Saturday 27th June 2026) - led by Dr Varkha Rattu and Professor Luigi Nibali
The non-surgical regeneration workshop provide hands-on experience focused on defect assessment, instrumentation techniques, biological principles, and the clinical application of minimally invasive non-surgical therapy (MINST) on specialised models
Surgical Regeneration workshop (PM Saturday 27th June 2026)- led by Dr Varkha Rattu and Professor Luigi Nibali
The surgical regeneration workshop will include hands-on experience with minimally invasive surgical approaches.
Delegates may choose from the following options:
- Webinar only (theory): Suitable for specialists, dentists, hygienists, therapists and dental students.
- Webinar & non-surgical regeneration workshop (AM Workshop): Suitable for specialists, dentists, hygienists, therapists and dental students.
- Webinar & non-surgical and surgical regeneration workshops (Full Day Workshop): Suitable for specialists and dentists
