A 4-week photography course aimed at those wanting to learn more about analogue photography and get to grips with photographic darkroom processes!
This course is ran by artist and photographer Kat Wood.
Week 1. Shooting in Black & White.
Photo walk + portrait photography.
Learn how to use a 35mm film camera, understand light and composition, and start seeing the world in black & white. Includes a guided photo walk and simple portrait photography techniques.
Week 2. Developing Your Film.
From Camera to Negative.
Learn how to develop your own black & white film in the darkroom. Understand the chemistry, process your role.
Week 3. Darkroom Printing.
From Negative to Print.
Use enlargers to create your own photographic prints. Learn exposure control, contrast, and leave with finished black & white images.
Week 4. Photograms & Experimental Printing.
Creative & Cameraless Techniques.
Explore photograms, layering, and alternative printing methods. Push the boundaries of the darkroom and experiment with playful, abstract, and expressive image-making.
The sessions will run from 6pm - 8:30pm on the following Wednesdays; 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th May.
