Overview

RISE grant funding available for projects addressing the Safer Streets VAWG problem statement.

The UK Government’s Safer Streets Mission aims to halve violence against women and girls (VAWG) in the next 10 years.

Funded by UKRI’s R&D Missions Accelerator Programme, RISE (Research into Intervention, Safety and Empowerment) is an accelerated programme led by SPRITE+ and interdisciplinary experts in VAWG to help deliver this aim.

We are delighted to offer grant funding for up to ten short projects running between April and August 2026 which address the Safer Streets VAWG Problem Statement – please see the Call for Projects for detailed information.

This webinar offers a chance to hear from the RISE team and learn more about the eligibility and selection criteria, funding available and expected outputs and outcomes from selected projects.

Who should attend?

We welcome applications from researchers and teams working in VAWG across academia, policing, industry the third sector and other relevant fields.

Please note that only academics or researchers from institutions eligible for UKRI funding can apply to lead or co-lead a project, however project teams can also include funded or in-kind support from charities, research groups, companies etc.
