DCS BHANGRA NIGHT: GOVAN MUSIC FESTIVAL

Set up by local conductorPaul MacAlindin, our goal is for everyone to enjoy making and listening to live music in Govan. We do this with concerts, community and school music projects in Govan.We love celebrating Govan's rich heritage and folklore, but most of all, our local Govanites, whose warmth, colour and resilience influence everything we do. We are a flexible, innovative 21st century orchestral ensemble adapting to the needs of our local groups and spaces. We work alongside other agencies to help everyone celebrate Govan through music.

Our fifth edition of the Govan Music Festival promises to shake off winter blues and put a spring in your step.

£10 + Ticket fee steated, £7 + ticket fee standingDCS, one of the greatest Bhangra bands in the world, launched their first album "Teri Shaun" back in 1985 and have been rocking the Asian music scene ever since.Rootless unite Glasgow's top Indian classical and Roma musicians in a fusion that will get you jumping for joy.Cosmic Dance have been championing the gorgeous dance forms of Bharatanatyam in Edinburgh. They have grown and popularised Bharatanatyam in its traditional and modern form across Scotland.
