The Solar System in X-ray VisionWe see the planets as steady points of reflected sunlight when we look up at the night sky. But an X-ray telescope allows us to witness a side of our Solar System that the human eye was never meant to see, transforming our cosmic neighbourhood into a high-energy arena full of invisible explosions and ghostly glows. From the relentless X-ray aurorae of Jupiter, to the subtle shimmer of X-rays fluorescing off Saturn’s rings, discover what these emissions reveal about our planet and our neighbouring worlds.

Speaker info:Affelia Wibisono has one simple goal - to make space science and astronomy accessible to everyone. In a 15-year career spanning the stage, the page, and the airwaves, Affelia has performed at festivals, written for and consulted on books, and deciphered the cosmos for TV and radio. With a PhD in Planetary Science from UCL, their portfolio includes works with institutions such as the Science Museum, the Royal Observatory Greenwich, and the BBC.
