We see the planets as steady points of reflected sunlight when we look up at the night sky. But an X-ray telescope allows us to witness a side of our Solar System that the human eye was never meant to see, transforming our cosmic neighbourhood into a high-energy arena full of invisible explosions and ghostly glows. From the relentless X-ray aurorae of Jupiter, to the subtle shimmer of X-rays fluorescing off Saturn’s rings, discover what these emissions reveal about our planet and our neighbouring worlds.
