W.O.W Event: Enjoy exploring the reserve after hours!

Join in the fun with our W.o.W. Week of Wildlife this May half-term! This is a unique opportunity to discover the wildlife of Thameside as the sun sets, with bug hunting, forest fun, and a campfire (weather permitting - we will send an email of food suggestions for toasting after booking). Suitable for over 5s accompanied by an adult.

🎫 Who needs a ticket?

This is a family event. All attending adults and children require a ticket to attend, please.

📍Where do we meet?

This event takes place near the Cottage Car Park for Thameside Nature Discovery Park. This is at the entrance of the site before you go through the gate.

🎒What should we bring? Is food provided?

Weather permitting, we will have a campfire at the end of the session.  You are welcome to bring something to toast. Ideas include: crumpets, little malt loaves, toasting tea cakes, sweet waffles, brioche, fruit, e.g,. pineapple/mango. Anything you can warm through on a stick, really – we provide toasting forks.  No uncooked meat or nuts, please. Marshmallows and popcorn are not recommended for children under the age of 5. 

🥾What should we wear?

Most of our events are held outdoors, so please come dressed for the weather.  We recommend layers (top and bottom), which can get mucky. Wellies (with thick socks) and waterproofs are a good shout if you have them. 

🌍Where are you based?

We are located in Thurrock, between East Tilbury and Stanford-le-Hope

🚗Is there parking?

Yes. We have a large free car park.

🚻Are there toilets?

Yes, there is a toilet located in the cottage.

🐕‍🦺Can we bring a dog?

Assistance dogs are welcome at our events.
