From Day One: Embedding Social Value That Works for Everyone

Our activities create impacts that reach far beyond financial returns. From improving people’s health and wellbeing, strengthening communities, to reducing pressure on public services — these outcomes are vital, yet too often go unmeasured or unreported.

This session introduces how to assess, measure, and manage social impact by applying the principles of social value. You’ll explore:

• What social value is and how it can be defined
• Why it matters and how it strengthens your organisation’s mission
• Key legislation and policy drivers that make social value an essential part of good practice, not just a “nice-to-have”

By the end, you’ll understand how to start embedding social value thinking into everyday decision-making and communication.

I lawer o bobl sydd â rhwystrau cymdeithasol, diwylliannol neu amgylcheddol, gall cymorth busnes prif ffrwd deimlo’n anodd ei gyrraedd. Dyna pam rydym wedi datblygu ein rhaglen newydd, a gyflwynir gan hyfforddwyr sydd â dealltwriaeth ddofn o gynhwysiant cymdeithasol.

Our new training programme, supported by the Moondance Foundation, offers a range of business focused webinars, aimed at entrepreneurs who may face particular barriers to mainstream business support including people who are neurodivergent, disabled, have a mental or physical health condition, who have cultural or language barriers, or who are ex-prisoners. We also recognise that many within the creative industries require support with managing the business side of their work, and therefore we encourage participation from artists particularly who may be disabled or neurodivergent.

For many people with social, cultural or environmental barriers, mainstream business support can feel hard to access. That is why we have developed our new programme, delivered by trainers with a deep understanding of social inclusion.
