This session gives a practical, honest and sometimes humorous look at how small communication changes can transform experiences for customers and clients with hearing loss.Drawing on lived experience and real interactions, it highlights everyday challenges that often go unnoticed by staff.Participants learn how noise, fast speech, unclear instructions and assumptions can create hidden barriers — and, more importantly, the simple, realistic actions that genuinely help.With practical tips and relatable examples, the session builds confidence and equips participants to create more inclusive, positive experiences for all customers and clients.
Nicola has extensive experience supporting people with additional needs. With postgraduate training in Careers Guidance, she specialised in workplace Additional Learning Needs support, working with education providers, employers and public bodies. She is also a qualified vocational assessor and advocate. Her personal and professional experiences of exclusion drive her commitment to improving accessibility and inclusion for disabled people. Nicola focuses on helping organisations make small, practical changes that create meaningful improvements for everyone.

Mae ein rhaglen hyfforddi newydd, a gefnogir gan Sefydliad Moondance, yn cynnig amrywiaeth o weminarau sy’n canolbwyntio ar fusnes, wedi’u hanelu at entrepreneuriaid a allai wynebu rhwystrau penodol i gymorth busnes prif ffrwd gan gynnwys pobl sy’n niwroamrywiol, yn anabl, â chyflwr iechyd meddwl neu gorfforol, â rhwystrau diwylliannol neu ieithyddol, neu sy’n gyn-garcharorion. Rydym hefyd yn cydnabod bod llawer o’r rhai o fewn y diwydiannau creadigol yn gofyn am gymorth gyda rheoli ochr fusnes eu gwaith, ac felly rydym yn annog cyfranogiad gan artistiaid yn enwedig sy’n anabl neu’n niwroamrywiol.
I lawer o bobl sydd â rhwystrau cymdeithasol, diwylliannol neu amgylcheddol, gall cymorth busnes prif ffrwd deimlo’n anodd ei gyrraedd. Dyna pam rydym wedi datblygu ein rhaglen newydd, a gyflwynir gan hyfforddwyr sydd â dealltwriaeth ddofn o gynhwysiant cymdeithasol.

Our new training programme, supported by the Moondance Foundation, offers a range of business focused webinars, aimed at entrepreneurs who may face particular barriers to mainstream business support including people who are neurodivergent, disabled, have a mental or physical health condition, who have cultural or language barriers, or who are ex-prisoners. We also recognise that many within the creative industries require support with managing the business side of their work, and therefore we encourage participation from artists particularly who may be disabled or neurodivergent.
For many people with social, cultural or environmental barriers, mainstream business support can feel hard to access. That is why we have developed our new programme, delivered by trainers with a deep understanding of social inclusion.
