Midlife Eating without the Shame - 6 week Therapist Led Group for Women 35+

Overview

6-week therapist-led group for women 35+ to break binge-restrict cycles, heal shame & build food freedom. Norwich NR3. Screening required.

Midlife can feel like a reckoning.

Your body changes.
Hormones shift.
Energy fluctuates.
And suddenly the eating patterns you thought you’d “sorted years ago” feel louder again.

You might look high-functioning on the outside — career, family, responsibilities — but privately feel stuck in cycles of restriction, overeating, food noise, or shame.

You may find yourself thinking:

  • “Why am I still dealing with this at my age?”
  • “I should have grown out of this by now.”
  • “I know what to do… so why can’t I just do it?”

This group is for women 35+ who are tired of fighting themselves.

Over 6 weekly 90-minute sessions, in a small, carefully contained group (maximum 7 women), we will gently explore:

• The binge–restrict cycle and why it persists
• How midlife stress and hormonal shifts impact eating
• ADHD, masking and food as regulation
• Perfectionism and control
• The nervous system beneath shame
• How to rebuild trust with yourself

This is not a diet group.
There are no weigh-ins.
No food rules.
No willpower lectures.

Instead, you can expect thoughtful, trauma-informed therapy in a safe, confidential space, alongside other women who understand the complexity of midlife.

Because this is therapy (not a workshop), all participants complete a short screening process before being offered a place.

Held in person in Norwich (NR3).

The total investment for the 6-week programme is £395.

This equates to just over £56 per 90-minute session — considerably less than my individual therapy rate of £125 per 50 minutes.

Group therapy allows you to access specialist support, structured content and relational healing in a contained, cost-effective format.
