Two Day Trauma Informed Life Story Workshop in a Calm Coastal Setting

Two Day Trauma Informed Life Story Workshop in a Calm Coastal Setting

Old Beer RoadSeaton, England
Tuesday 8 September-Wednesday 9 September  •  9:30 AM-4 PM
Overview

Step away from the day-to-day and join a small, supportive group to explore creative, trauma-informed approaches to life story work.

Two-Day Trauma-Informed Life Story Work Workshop (By the Coast)

My name is Louise, and I’ve been running my business as a Life Story Practitioner, Trainer and Supervisor for four years. Before founding Life Story Louise, I worked as an Advanced Practitioner in the same local authority for 11 years. I hold a BSc and MSc in Social Work, a Diploma in Therapeutic Life Story Work, and have completed extensive training, including an eight-day Therapeutic Social Work course with Karen Treisman and Joanne Alper.

Who is this workshop for?
This workshop is for life story work practitioners, social workers, residential staff, family support workers, and therapeutic practitioners—anyone supporting children to understand their lives and experiences, and who wants to feel more confident, playful, and resourceful in their work.

What to expect

  • Practical tools and creative resources for therapeutic life story work
  • Opportunities to reflect, explore, and try things out
  • A supportive, small-group environment
  • Space to connect and learn alongside others

This workshop is designed for practitioners who already have a foundation knowledge of life story work and want to deepen and enrich their practice.

Why in person?
Being together, using materials, sharing ideas, playing, and reflecting, brings the work to life in a way that online learning can’t. This is a space to slow down, connect, and be inspired.

The setting
The workshop will take place in my home, across three large, light-filled rooms with beautiful sea views. It’s a warm, welcoming environment designed to spark creativity, connection, and a sense of belonging.

What’s included

  • Drinks, snacks, and a light lunch on both days
  • A goody bag to take home

Spaces are limited to 10 practitioners to keep the experience personal and meaningful.
