A creative writing workshop celebrating Women

Join us at Oldham Library for an afternoon of creative writing session. The session will be delivered by writer Rose Condo. Ticket price includes a delicious Afternoon Tea.

Rose is a Canadian poet and educator. Based in Prestwich, she has won slams across the UK, and she performs her work nationally and internationally. Rose has written and toured three solo shows: The Geography of Me (Spoken Word Award, 2021 Buxton Fringe), The Empathy Experiment (Best Spoken Word Show, 2019 Greater Manchester Fringe), and How to Starve an Artist (Runner Up Best Spoken Word Show, 2017 Saboteur Awards).

She has published two poetry collections with Manchester’s Flapjack Press: How to Find Where You Belong (2023) and After the Storm (2021). She was a contributing writer to the ground-breaking anthology Spoken word in the UK (eds. Lucy English and Jack McGowan).

She runs creative writing workshops with such organisations as the Bradford Literature Festival, the British Library, hoot creative arts, the Huddersfield Literature Festival, Royal Exchange Theatre, SICK! Festival, and Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
