ClearCommunityWeb helps people feel more confident and comfortable with technology through classes, workshops and individual support.We primarily work with older people, vulnerable adults and carers in South London. We also work with families.We partner and build relationships with organizations to help them reach their communities by providing training and expertise.

Community Resilience & Online Safety

Our programme supporting the voluntary sector, frontline staff and active community members to be more equipped to help other at risk online – be in from scams and fraud or online abuse and other harm.

Join ClearCommunityWeb and the MET Cyber Protect team for an afternoon to help you be safer online yourself to support the groups or people you work with.Understand the principles and best practice to ensure you are working with people safely, find out what to do in critical situations and be aware of how and when to report.We will use real life scenarios and practical activities. This training perfect for the voluntary sector, frontline staff and active community members.You will get practical advice on a range of subjects including:<ul><li>Phishing: How to recognize and avoid phishing scams that can lead to compromised accounts and personal information.</li><li>Social Engineering: Understanding how criminals manipulate people into giving up information or access.</li><li>Ransomware: Learning how ransomware works and how to protect against it.</li><li>Password Security: Best practices for creating strong passwords and using multi-factor authentication.</li><li>Secure Connections: How to use secure connections and protect your home network.</li><li>Supporting Others: How to help people you are working with to be more resilient or to provide critical interventions if they have been the victim of a cyber crime or fraud. Making information as simple as possible can go a long way in giving people the confidence to overcome their fears and anxieties. Our services walk through the steps to resolve computer issues and difficulties people are having in staying connected.We work closely with community groups and non-profit organisations, providing training and direct support for remote working. Enabling support workers to have keep in contact with vulnerable service users, share digital skills within their organisation and promote digital inclusion in their network.We have become a place where people feel comfortable contacting and asking, no question is too basic, and we work together to overcome the challenges we face.
