In April 2026, I’ll be running the Paris Marathon.. I’m extremely proud to be raising money for SANE. SANE is a leading UK charity providing emotional support and information to anyone affected by mental illness. In 2023 I set up Koggno, a podcast and platform exploring people’s stories and real, unfiltered life experiences. Koggno was founded as a way of exploring different approaches to mental health. Although it has since evolved, my work and interviews remain rooted in making people feel less alone. While I was studying psychology at uni, and then my masters, I struggled deeply with my own mental health. It’s still not something I speak about articulately or often, despite encouraging others to do so but it’s absolutely something I’m learning. I know how scary it can be to feel isolated and trapped within a negative thought cycle. This is my third marathon, and I am proud that it is the most mentally and physically strong I have felt in a long time. I am so lucky to have been supported in my journey and it makes me proud to run for a charity, SANE, that helps others. We hope to raise awareness, increase access to support and help break the stigma against mental illness. Thank you for any support. Follow the run on Koggno! Kirsty xxx
