Cha in the City Leicester: Walk & Talk Group
This group is a part of the Cha in the City movement, supporting inclusive conversations & challenging subjects amongst south asian men.
What is this group about?
Rooh Health & Wellbeing is a charity dedicated to improving people’s health and wellbeing. We believe that positive mental health is strengthened through conversation, connection, and community.
Our Walk & Talk group is a chance for South Asian men to come together outdoors — to move, talk, reflect, and connect in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Some conversations are easier side by side.
Who is this for?
This space is for those who identify as South Asian men.
We welcome men from all faith backgrounds — Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, other faiths and spiritualities, as well as those who practise no faith or are agnostic. We welcome all cis and trans men, and non-binary people who feel comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of South Asian men.
You’re welcome whether you want to share openly or simply walk and listen.
Please note:
We are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and confidential environment. To protect this space, attendance by representatives of external organisations, services, or agencies (including social prescribing services, researchers, or observers) is not permitted.
If you represent an organisation or have questions about this space, please contact: info@rooh.org.uk
What to expect
- A gentle, accessible group walk
- Introductions and shared group agreements
- A short grounding moment before we begin
- Paired and small group reflections while walking
- A closing circle and optional feedback
There is no obligation to speak. You can share thoughts, ask questions, or simply walk and take it in.
This isn’t therapy. It’s not a workshop.
It’s community — built through movement and conversation.
