Osborne Reynolds Day

Osborne Reynolds Day is an annual national event, organized and hosted by the School of Engineering at The University of Manchester in collaboration with ERCOFTAC (https://www.ercoftac.org/). It aims to bring together researchers from academia and industry working in the broad field of fluid dynamics to showcase the latest research, innovation and development in this broad discipline. The event features oral presentations of their research by recent doctoral graduates and soon-to-graduate PhD students in Fluid Dynamics. Cash prizes and commemorative plaques are awarded to those presentations judged to be the best on the day and these prizewinners will go on to compete in the corresponding European competition later in the year. This year the event will also include a panel discussion from both academia and industry to identify the greatest challenges and opportunities in the field.
