Bystander Intervention Workshop

Build Confidence. Learn Practical Skills. Make a Difference.

Join us for a lively, practical, and interactive in-person workshop designed to help you feel confident and prepared to step in safely when someone needs support. Whether you're a frontline worker, council officer, food bank volunteer, or an active member of the community, this session will equip you with simple, effective tools to positively impact real-life situations.

During this fun and engaging workshop, you will:

  • Learn the 5 D’s of Bystander Intervention – adaptable, practical strategies to intervene safely and effectively.
  • Explore the impact of microaggressions – understanding how subtle behaviours can affect others and what you can do to help.
  • Increase your awareness of unconscious bias – recognising the biases we all carry and how to reduce their influence in daily interactions.

Expect group discussions, scenario-based activities, and a supportive learning environment where you can practise your skills and build confidence. You'll leave the session feeling more empowered, informed, and ready to play an active role in creating safer, more inclusive communities.
