Embedding AI into Business Operations

Embedding AI into Business Operations

Civic HallLeeds, England
Thursday, May 14 from 9:30 am to 1 pm
Overview

This workshop is about moving from personal productivity to operational capability.

Embedding AI into Business Operations

Duration: 3 Hours In Person (including short comfort break if needed)

What this session is about

Once AI is being used reliably by individuals, the next challenge is embedding it into how the business actually runs.

This workshop is about moving from personal productivity to operational capability — where AI supports teams, workflows, and repeatable business processes, with the right controls in place.

It focuses on AI employees, automation, and integration, but always through a business lens:

what should be automated, what shouldn’t, and how humans stay in the loop.

This is where AI stops being a tool you “use” and starts becoming part of how work gets done.

Who this is for:

This session is for founders, directors, and senior operators who:

● Already use AI personally and want to roll it out more broadly

● Are thinking about AI for teams, not just individuals

● Need to manage data, risk, and responsibility properly

● Want to reduce manual work without breaking trust or quality

This is not a beginner session.

Attendees should already be comfortable using AI tools and workflows.

What this session covers:

● AI for teams and organisations Understanding team plans, shared context, and collaboration across AI tools

● AI employees and role-based agents Designing AI assistants for specific jobs (e.g. research, triage, drafting, support) and knowing where their limits should be

● Automation and workflow integration Connecting AI to forms, documents, CRMs, inboxes, and internal systems (e.g. lead handling, internal research, operational support)

● Governance, risk, and control Data boundaries, approval steps, escalation rules, and human oversight

● Choosing the right level of AI involvement When to assist, when to automate, and when to keep humans fully in control

Tools may include advanced features of ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot, alongside automation and agent platforms — but again, the focus is on use cases, not software demos.

What you’ll leave with:

● A clear model for deploying AI across teams and processes

● Practical examples of AI employees and automated workflows

● A framework for managing risk, quality, and responsibility

● Confidence in deciding what not to automate, as much as what to automate

This workshop builds on:

● AI Foundations — understanding what AI is and where it fits

● Practical AI Workflows — using AI reliably for real work
