A thought-provoking session designed for TAs, LSAs and HLTAs who want to expand their expert toolkit to navigate environmental barriers.
TA Workshop: Practical OT Strategies for Classroom Sticking Points
📅 Date: Monday 18th May, 2026
⏰ Time: 7pm
We’ve all had those moments.
The calm zone that doesn’t calm.
Trying to adapt when there's limited space.
The noise you can’t control.
The moment you think, “I’ve tried everything.”
Join us for our May TA Workshop: Practical OT Strategies for Classroom Sticking Points, a focused and thought-provoking session designed for TAs, LSAs and HLTAs who want to expand their expert toolkit to navigate environmental barriers and find new ways to facilitate inclusion in the classroom, even when space and resources are limited.
Led by Twinkl’s Occupational Therapy Educational Content Lead, Megan McDonald, this session will explore what those “sticking points” look like through an occupational therapy lens exploring practical strategies.
In this TA Workshop, you’ll explore what to do when:
- support doesn’t seem to be working
- environments feel overwhelming
- or you’re unsure what to change next.
Using an occupational therapy lens, we’ll explore how small, realistic adjustments to tasks, environments and adult responses can improve participation, even in busy, imperfect classroom conditions.
This workshop is designed to strengthen your confidence, simplify your decision making, and help you feel clearer about when to adapt and when to seek further support. Ideal for TAs, LSAs and HLTAs who want practical, grounded strategies they can use in real classroom situations.
You’ll leave this session with specialist Occupational Therapy guidance and practical strategies to enhance your professional TA toolkit.
