Big City Bug Hunt: how to monitor insects

Big City Bug Hunt: how to monitor insects

Online event
Monday, Mar 23 from 4 pm to 5:30 pm GMT
Overview

Learn to record garden insects with iNaturalist and join Capital Growth’s Big City Bug Hunt to help urban biodiversity.

Always wondered how you can support insect life in your garden, orchard, or community growing space?

Join us for an online workshop where you’ll learn how to record the wildlife you spot using iNaturalist – a free, easy-to-use app that helps you identify insects and other fascinating creatures you might not recognise.

This session will also show you how to get involved in Capital Growth’s London-wide citizen science project, The Big City Bug Hunt. Together, we’re gathering vital data to demonstrate the important role food-growing spaces play in supporting urban biodiversity.

Whether you’re a seasoned grower or just bug-curious, come along and discover how small actions can make a big difference for nature in our city.
