Training to equip VCSEs with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to effectively support individuals experiencing grief.

Rosedale Training has been delivering Loss and Grief Training to organisations, charities, and individuals for over three years. The purpose of this training is to equip participants with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to effectively support individuals experiencing grief.

Understanding Grief

Grief is not limited to bereavement after death. It can also result from:

  • Loss of employment
  • Illness
  • Separation or divorce
  • Unmet or lost opportunities
  • Other significant life changes

What the Training Covers

  • The emotional impact of grief
  • Practical, evidence-based approaches to supporting grieving individuals
  • Helpful, tested techniques that can be applied in real-life situations
  • Recognising when additional support is needed
  • Guidance on appropriate signposting to further services

Training Approach

  • Interactive and discussion-based
  • Delivered in a safe and supportive environment

Rosedale Funderl Homes are a progressive and inclusive funeral directors with 7 funeral homes across South Norfolk and North Suffolk. They can support families with financial difficulties to arrange a funeral on a budget, including guiding them towards sources for financial support and loan artificial floral tributes. They run bereavement support groups, an annual walk of remembrance and Christmas services of remembrance, and have a variety of resources available to support the bereaved.
