Fermentation and Gut Health Workshop
A two hour workshop to understand the benefits of fermented foods and drinks and how to make them.
This late spring, join us on the beautiful grounds of Coed Hills, near St Hilary and Cowbridge, nestled inside the pottery studio of Love Dove Ceramic.
As the earth begins to bloom again, so too can our inner landscape. This hands-on workshop is an invitation to gently refresh your digestion, awaken your gut, and reconnect with the living foods that support vitality and lightness.
Together we will explore:
• A vibrant overview and tasting of a wide variety of fermented foods and drinks — lovingly crafted by Laure and inspired by traditions from around the world. These living foods mirror the aliveness of spring itself. We will also look at plants that can be foraged to add to our ferments.
• The essential role fermented foods play in gut health — how they help restore balance, support immunity, and create the fertile ground for energy, clarity, and resilience.
• A practical session making your own fresh sauerkraut to take home — understanding the beauty of lacto-fermentation and how simple seasonal vegetables can transform into powerful, living nourishment.
• A live demonstration of how to make WATER KEFIR — a sparkling, refreshing tonic perfect for the brighter days ahead — with the opportunity to purchase starter cultures and continue your fermentation journey at home.
• Seasonal spring guidance for supporting digestion — gentle tips to help you transition from winter heaviness into greater lightness, movement, and flow.
This is a workshop rooted in renewal, connection, and simple kitchen alchemy — aligning your inner ecosystem with the energy of the season.
Come ready to taste, learn, create, and leave feeling inspired to cultivate new growth from the inside out 🌱
* A complementary glass of kefir will be provided as well as yummy kraut and pickles tasters and recipes. You will be making your own batch of sauerkraut to take home!
** please bring a 500ml jar with you if you can and a note pad as there will be a lot of tips given
*** No animal products will be used in this event
