Cults Fun Run Series 2026

Join the Active Schools Aberdeen Fun Run Series and enjoy getting active with young people from across the city!

Join our 2026 Fun Run Series for 4-weeks of running with Active Schools Aberdeen!

The Cults races will take place on Mondays at Cults Academy grass running track. Races are open to all pupils P1-P7 and typically attract over 200 pupils per week. Races are supported by volunteer Academy pupils but we are always happy to have parents help with individual races due to the large numbers.

Approximate race times are:

P3 (400m): 4.00pm

P2 (400m): 4.05pm

P1 (400m): 4.10pm

P4 (800m): 4.20pm

P5 (800m or 1600m): 4.30pm

P6-7 (800m or 1600m): 4.45pm

Pupils in P5-7 can choose whether to run 800m (2 laps) or 1600m (4 laps) on the day. We will be holding a Champion of Champions event in June for the top boys and girls in P4 (800m) and P5/P6/P7 (1600m).

Thanks to sponsorship from Perform Panel, any pupil who completes 3 or 4 races at Cults will receive a medal at the end of term!

Cults races this year will take place on the following Mondays: April 20th, April 27th, May 11th and May 18th. Information will be sent out to everyone signed up, before the first race. Where possible, pupils at Culter, Cults and Milltimber will get race numbers handed out at school. Other schools can collect on the day. Please keep race numbers for each race.
