Peter Darrant is CEO of OUT North East, a leading LGBTQ+ organisation dedicated to improving lives across the region through advocacy, support, and inclusive community spaces.

He oversees the ONE Centre, the region’s LGBTQ+ community hub, which provides wellbeing services, social groups, and resources for LGBTQ+ people and allies. Peter has extensive experience in partnership working and strategic development, championing equality at local and national levels.

He sits on the Gateshead Strategic Partnership Group, South Tyneside Regional Equality Forum, and the ITV Tyne Tees Diversity and Inclusion Panel, among others.

With a background in television and radio production, he brings strong communication and storytelling skills to his work, helping to amplify LGBTQ+ voices across the North East.

Tours of the new ONE Centre will also be available to attendee's.

Caroline Hagan is a Digital Consultant with over 25 years of experience in the digital sector and specialises in the intersection of MarTech, Digital strategy, and AI, delivering expert-led workshops, webinars, and high-level business consultancy.

By combining her deep technical knowledge with a passion for community leadership, she ensures that local business owners are equipped with the tools and connections necessary to thrive in an evolving digital landscape.

This event is run as a non-profit, all proceeds go towards covering the Venue fee's and Refreshment costs. Our event is dedicated to promoting and supporting local small businesses, and we believe in the power of community!

Get Kraken aims to reduce the digital divide in the region, by delivering digital skills in the form of webinars, workshops and 1-2-1 support. We are a local Databank, providing free access to the Internet for those in income-deprived areas.

We love to support local business and reduce the loneliness that often can be a part of working for yourself or as a startup.
