Overview

Personal Licence Course - Level 2. This is a one day course with exam.

Kent LVA are holding this Personal Licence Course at Hartley Social Club, on 14th April 2026, starting at 9.30 am. The qualification will provide learners with the knowledge they need to successfully operate in the licensed sector.

The cost of the course fee and exam is £100 plus Eventbrite fee. Successful candidates will be entitled to free membership to Kent LVA until the next AGM.

Candidates should provide their full name, email address and mobile number, and are required to bring photo ID on the day.

In accordance with The Licensing Act 2003 (England and Wales), anyone who is responsible for the sale of alcohol to the public must be a Personal Licence Holder. On successful completion of this 1 day course and concluding with a 40 question multiple choice examination (28/40 pass mark), candidates will be able to understand;

  • the nature, purpose and period of validity of a Personal Licence
  • the application process and legal duties when applying for a Personal Licence
  • the legal duties of a Personal Licence Holder
  • the roles, responsibilities and functions of licensing authorities
  • the law in relation to premises licences
