LCCM (London College of Contemporary Music) is a South London music community and live events space based at The Music Box.We host gigs, showcases, open mics, and industry-led sessions designed to connect artists, creatives, and music lovers in a collaborative, real-world environment.

<h3>Music Careers Week Launch at LCCM</h3>Join us for a full day dedicated to exploring careers in the music industry and wider creative sectors. As the launch event for Music Careers Week, this special Careers Day brings together industry professionals, educators, and emerging talent to showcase the many pathways available in today’s music world.Delivered in partnership with UK Music and National Careers Week, the day will offer practical advice, industry perspectives, and opportunities to connect directly with organisations shaping the future of music.Whether you're an aspiring artist, producer, manager, marketer, or creative professional, this event will help you better understand the opportunities available and how to take your next step.Throughout the day you can expect industry talks, skills workshops, live talent discovery sessions, campus tours, and networking with music companies.<h2>What to Expect</h2><ul><li>10.30AM -11PM SCHOOL OUTREACH STUDENT INTRO  </li><li>11-12PM FACILITIES TOURS (to include the venue, rehearsal spaces and recording studios) hosted by Sharifa for school visitors</li><li>12-1PM INDUSTRY PANEL  with Guests: Sara Gleadhall (Global Motion), Danny West (UMPG), Shao Dow (artist), Daniel Beckley (Universal Music), Nardean Gharsa (GRRLS Club)</li><li>1-2PM LUNCH BREAK</li><li>2-3PM BIY People &amp; Talent CV WORKSHOP  with Silvia Gargiulo </li><li>3PM-5PM DISCOVERY A&amp;R AUDITIONS - 10 curated individuals will get the opportunity to audition 1 song in front of 8 industry professionals. </li><li>5-5.30PM  Venue changeover / free drinks start in bar area</li><li>5.30-6.30PM INDUSTRY MIXER - Networking and some company stands. First drink free for all guests. </li></ul>Careers Day is designed to inspire, inform, and connect the next generation of music professionals. Whether you are just starting to explore your options or ready to step into the industry, this is your opportunity to learn directly from those already shaping it.

Lunch Break

Delivered by BIY People & Talent, this session will cover how to build a strong CV and approach getting your first role in the music industry.

CV & Careers Workshop

Ten curated artists will perform one song each in front of industry professionals in a live discovery session.

Discovery A&R Auditions

Meet music companies, recruiters, and fellow creatives at our networking mixer. The first drink is free for all guests. Confirmed industry stands include MN2S and Musicians' Union, with more partners to be announced.
