Agenda

-

Week 1 - The Saint - Wednesday 15th April

Week 1 looks at the good girls, the saints. We will cover historical concepts of virginity, the rise of religious women and the changing face of nursing over the centuries.

-

Week 2 - The Sinner - Wednesday 22nd April

Week 2 focuses on the bad girls, the sinners. What was life like for sex workers and for women who had "fallen" short of society's expectations? We'll look at unmarried mothers and also the ultimate sinful women, those who killed.

-

Week 3 - The Mother - Wednesday 29th April

Week 3 begins with an exploration of the role of a wife and what made a perfect wife. We will then look at the ideals of motherhood, why women were confined to the home and how giving birth changed over the years.
