She will be presenting examples of how different illustrators have approached this subject, and sharing about her personal journey illustrating love and grief, in her new picture book ‘Beyond’ (Puffin)&nbsp;Katie will also talk about the highs and lows of her career, from being signed to a major publisher straight after graduation, to winning prizes, to having to stop all work overnight due to illness. Katie will talk about her return to illustration, and how she took real events from her life and crafted them into a picture book.&nbsp;<a href="http://www.katiecleminson.com/" title="http://www.katiecleminson.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Katie Cleminson&nbsp;</a>is an award-winning author and illustrator, living in Devon, England. She studied Illustration for Children's Publishing at North Wales School of Art, and &nbsp;graduated with a First Class Honours degree. Her debut picture book ‘Box of Tricks’ won the Booktrust Best Emerging Illustrator Award, and she went on to be named one of the Booktrust Best New Illustrators in 2011.&nbsp;She also won the Hampshire picture book award, and was awarded third prize in the Macmillan Prize.&nbsp; Her title 'Otto the Book Bear' was translated into ten languages, was highly reviewed by the New York Times, and picked as one of the Sunday Times 100 Modern Children’s Classics. Katie’s artwork has been exhibited at the Bologna Illustrators Exhibition, as well as in London, Edinburgh, Poland,&nbsp; Japan and Korea.&nbsp;Katie will kindly be answering any questions you may have, as well as inviting you to share an interactive insight into her process.
