Sewing Machine Course – A Seascape Themed Fabric Art 3D Vase

Overview of Course

In this short course you will learn to make your very own a seascape 3D collaged fabric art vase. The vase will boast different seascape designs on each side. In the class you will learn a combination of machine embroidery and hand embroidery techniques to create a fabric a collaged decorative vase that can then be used to contain your crafty bit or dried flowers.

What will I learn?

For this short course you will learn how to create a three different seascape themed designs to make you decorative 3D fabric vase that will be free standing.

You will be given a vase base template and handbook that will be a guide to creating your vase piece and a prepared fabric patches to build the collage design. Then learn applique using your sewing machine, slow stitching, simplistic embroidery stitches and learn machine embroidery methods to build a collaged 3D fabric vase. Throughout the workshop you will use various hand dyed fabrics, reclaimed printed fabrics, embroidery thread, reclaimed fabrics, reclaimed vintage lace and lastly adding embellishment to pull the seascape themed vase together.

Once finished you will have your very own beautifully hand-crafted seascape themed 3D collaged fabric vase that can be used to hold dried flowers and is a gorgeous keeps sake or beautifully hand-crafted gift.
