This workshop is suitable for anyone supporting someone bereaved by suicide. Those in pastoral care, therapists, pastors, teachers, chaplains. Anyone wanting to know more about journeying with those who have been bereaved by suicide could benefit form this workshop. Sadly so many in our world are facing this journey. Carrying the excruciating pain of grief and loss when a loved one has died, alongside the complexities of it being a death by suicide. Our hope is that this workshop will create a safe space to explore, what this journey of grief can look like, how we can love, support and ‘journey’ with those walking this path of grief. What helps and what doesn’t. This workshop will be from a christian perspective and some time will be devoted to some theological aspects we can wrestle with in this journey. John and Ali will co-host this event, Ali from a therapist perspective and as someone who has written a course on journeying grief, and John from a theological and pastoral perspective and also as someone who has personally journeyed being bereaved by suicide.
