South Kerrier Alliance Community Interest Company (SKA CIC) is a social enterprise, formed by volunteers, to address the needs and aspirations of the people of South Kerrier, Helston and its surrounding parishes.Our plan focuses on the long term issues and challenges that will affect our environment, local economy, people and communities of South Kerrier.The plan was developed by local people and community groups at workshops, meetings and community events and was based on the aspirations and concerns of these people. Its vision needed to be inspirational but realisable.The plan was our starting point but we want to involve the local community in its development. By reviewing it regularly, we will be able to incorporate new opportunities, issues and contributions as they arise.

Scooter WorkshopCome join us for a fun and informative Scooter workshop at Coronation Park, Helston! Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned rider, this event is perfect for anyone looking to learn more about scooters. Our experienced instructors will cover everything from basic maintenance to advanced tricks. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to improve your scooter skills and meet fellow enthusiasts. See you there! (The recommended age for this workshop is 5+ years)All participants should arrive with appropriate footwear - which includes trainers, gym shoes or plimsolls. Please do not wear sandals (including crocs), flip-flops or other open-toed shoes, or shoes with raised heels or wedges.All coaches are experienced, with DBS certificates and child safeguarding training.This event is insured through South Kerrier Alliance CIC Community Group Membership of Skateboard GB, the National Governing Body for skateboarding.We will register all participants on arrival and take parents'/carers' contact detailsPlease reserve a ticket via this page.INVEST IN THE FUTURE OF CORONATION PARK, SKATE PARKThe South Kerrier Alliance CIC own and run Coronation Park for the “benefit of the residents of Helston and The Lizard” and we want everyone to be able to enjoy our events.To try and make our events as accessible as possible, we are offering various ticket prices for this event and a free ticket draw. We will give away as many tickets as we are able to and we will inform you if you have won tickets a minimum of three days before the event. CANCELLATIONSWe know that sometimes life can be busy and plans can change, please make sure you let us know at least 48 hours in advance if you are unable to make a booked session. These sessions are always oversubscribed with a waiting list and unfortunately in the past when people have failed to attend with no notice we have had no time to offer these spaces to the children on the waiting list. Because of popularity of these workshops if you fail to give notice of a cancellation this will impact on future workshop bookings you may wish to make.
