JMT Summer Talks: Railways and Scenery In New Zealand (Part 1)

Jaywick Martello Tower was built in the early nineteenth century to protect the coastline from French invasion. Today, it is open to the public as an arts, heritage and community space. The Tower hosts a varied programme of exhibitions and events.

JMT Talks

Join Jaywick Martello Tower for their annual Spring and Autumn talks in March and October.
Tickets are £2.00 pay on the door on arrival. Book tickets for all five talks in advance and get the final talk free.
Refreshments provided.

<p>Join Adrian Wright for the first of a two-part illustrated talk portraying a journey using New Zealand's three long-distance passenger trains from Northland through both major islands to the aptly-named Greymouth on the Tasman Sea coast. En route the cities of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch are visited along with features of the country's impressive landscape as well as the railways and trains themselves.</p><ul><li>Tuesday 18 August – New Zealand North Island</li><li>Tuesday 25 August – New Zealand South Island</li></ul><p>Doors open at 6.00pm. Talks are £3 entry and can be booked online here.</p>
