Event Type
Live 1.5 hour in person workshop

Event Overview

Does your mind feel like it has 20 tabs open, all at once?
If you’re craving calm but don’t know where to start, this live workshop is for you.

Introduction to Meditation & Mindfulness: Finding Stillness in a Busy Mind” is a gentle, practical session designed for real people with real lives, not gurus on a mountaintop. You’ll be guided step by step through simple practices that help you slow down, breathe, and find a sense of balance again.

No experience is needed. No special equipment. Just you, an open mind, and a little time to pause.

What You’ll Experience

During this workshop, you will:

  • Learn what meditation and mindfulness actually are (and what they’re not).
  • Explore how these practices can support stress relief, anxiety reduction, and emotional balance.
  • Experience a guided meditation, suitable for complete beginners and “I’ve-tried-but-can’t-do-it” meditators.
  • Discover easy mindfulness tools you can weave into your day, at home, at work, or on the move.
  • Ask questions in a supportive, non-judgmental space.

This is not about perfection or “emptying your mind”, it’s about learning how to be kinder, calmer, and more present with yourself.

This Workshop Is Perfect For You If…

  • Your brain feels busy, foggy, or constantly “on.”
  • You’ve tried meditation apps but felt you were doing it wrong.
  • You want practical, grounded guidance rather than spiritual jargon.

By the end of this gentle introductory workshop, you’ll leave with:

  • 2–3 simple mindfulness practices you can use immediately in everyday life.
  • A short, repeatable guided meditation you can return to whenever you need to reset.
  • A clearer understanding of how meditation and mindfulness work, and how they can support your unique lifestyle.

As a reformed I don’t know how to say no, type, and a person who healed her own life from Cancer with Mindfulness and Meditation in the mix of holistic services, Diane loves nothing more than to see those she works with gaining ‘freedom’ from what the mind tells them, and become lightened from the load of what has been getting in their way. Diane refers to this as ‘coming home to yourself’.

There will be a little time at the end of the session for self-reflection.
