EAA Members' Trip to Newtonmore

The Edinburgh Architectural Association’s mission is to create an approachable nucleus of architects and student architects to meet and hold events to stimulate thought and discussion and to share common aspirations. We aim to form links with other construction and arts-related bodies and to promote our skills and expertise to the public.The EAA is a Chapter of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS) and has over 1300 active members located from the Scottish Borders, through the Lothians to Fife, with an incredibly talented and diverse membership.Registered Charity SCO50008.

A trip for EAA Members to Russwood's Headquarters, as well as the Highland Folk Museum, Newtonmore.

Our friends at <a href="https://www.russwood.co.uk/" title="https://www.russwood.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Russwood</a> have kindly invited EAA members for a visit to their Newtonmore headquarters on Friday 1 May. This will be combined with a trip to the <a href="https://www.highlifehighland.com/attractions/highland-folk-museum" title="https://www.highlifehighland.com/attractions/highland-folk-museum" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Highland Folk Museum</a>, also in Newtonmore. Thanks to support from EAA, ECAN and Russwood, tickets for members will be £15 and will include transportation as well as teas/coffees and lunch.Members will meet at 15 Rutland Square at 6.45am on Friday 1st May, arriving at Russwood's Headquarters between 9.30am and 10am. Tea and coffee will be served before members are given a tour of the facilties followed by lunch. The day will conclude with a short visit to the Highland folk museum, a unique open-air museum which is home to over 35 carefully reconstructed historical buildings.
