In just one day you will start with a lump of clay, add a little magic, and leave with a stunning piece of solid silver jewellery!

Jewellery Workshop - Silver Flower Garland - Say it with Flowers!

No previous experience required. Suitable for ages 12 and above.

Suitable for beginners, Silver Clay can be cut, shaped and textured with ease. For the first time, I am bringing this new workshop to Winchester! I will show you how to create tiny beautiful flowers from moulds, and then arrange them into stunning flower garlands. With the clay you have left over, and the skills you have gained, there will be the opportunity to create a second piece of your choice. Imagine - flowers that will last a lifetime and be treasured forever!

What you will learn:

• Design ideas and considerations
• Introduction to tools and equipment
• How to roll, cut and texture clay
• Using moulds with Silver Clay
• Drying, sanding and refining
• Firing
• Polishing and finishing
• How to attach jump rings and earwires

We will work at a relaxed pace with plenty of time to explore the material and ask questions along the way. Your work will be fired and finished during the session so you can wear your creation(s!) home with pride!

Please bring a sturdy pair of shoes; drinks will be provided.

Materials:

Materials are extra - £45pp including a 10g pack of ArtClay Silver, use of syringe clay and a polishing kit that you can take home.

Additional clay, starter kits and jewellery findings can be purchased during the day.
