This session has been designed to provide doctoral researchers with a practical guide to preparing and submitting an abstract to an academic journal, from an editor’s perspective. You will learn how to select a journal (considering scope, readership, timescale), how to compose an effective abstract, what’s involved in the peer review process, how to understand editorial and journal expectations, how to navigate submission processes and timeframes, and respond to editorial feedback. The session is designed for students at any stage of their doctoral journey who are interested in publishing their research in an academic journal.
