About the Filton 5K

The Filton 5K is our way of opening the day with movement, community and a sense of shared purpose. Organised by the Bristol Running Show in partnership with the Bristol branch of the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team (SCMT), the run carries the same spirit that SCMT have brought to Eastville Park races since the 1980s: simplicity, friendliness and encouragement for every runner.

This is a no‑pressure 5K designed for everyone. Beginners, returning runners, club runners, walkers‑who‑might‑jog, and anyone who just wants to start their morning with a relaxed, supportive run. There are no prizes, no awards and no cut‑offs — just a clear course, a welcoming atmosphere and a chance to enjoy moving together.

Come as you are. Run your own pace. Start the day with a breath of fresh air before heading into the show.
