Overview

A day on the tools to help build new fencing, benches and a dipping platform by the pond

Our task today will be to improve the all-ability access trail at The Bog Mine site, with countryside ranger, Guy, and contractor, Paul, leading the way.

We have three projects lined up:

Repairing fencing;

Building a new bench;

Installing a dipping platform across the pond.

This is a great opportunty to make a difference to a much-loved, popular nature reserve, as well as to learn practical life skills, especially carpentry.

And we hope to provide free Bog Centre cake for those that take part!

Children/young people must be aged 12-18 years old and must be registered on Young Rangers before participating. For more information, please visit the Young Rangers webpage .
