Oliver Twist's London Walking Tour
Step back in time on a walking tour through the streets of Dickensian London to discover the fate of the Victorian poor and their children.
Discover how Dickens and other social campaigners fought to improve conditions for London's most vulnerable, and hear stories of prisons, ancient markets, hospitals, workhouses and more on this fascinating tour that uncovers some of the most historic and notorious areas of the city. The tour ends with an unguided visit to the Foundling Museum.
Itinerary:
11am: Meet at The Queen Anne statue outside St Paul’s Cathedral
1pm: End at The Foundling Museum
This tour will last approximately 2 hours and will require both walking and standing. Unless severe weather is forecast, the tour will be going ahead so please bring an umbrella/waterproof jacket. The ticket includes the tour, free entry into the Foundling Museum, and a 10% discount on all food and drink at The Lamb, Lamb’s Conduit Street.
