Rambling with Dorset Poetry
A walk around Cerne Abbas, stopping at evocative spots to reflect with a relevant poem by Dorset poet William Barnes
Immerse yourself in the literature of Dorset. Join members of the William Barnes Society for this gentle ramble around Cerne and its immediate surroundings. We will stop at evocative spots to reflect with a relevant poem which will take you back into olde Dorset. Ends with afternoon tea at St Mary’s Church. Dress appropriately for the weather and terrain – the walk will mostly be around the centre of Cerne, with diversions to the cemetery and along the river. In the event of terrible weather it will take place in the church.
Tickets £8 which includes afternoon tea in the church.
