Come and explore the iconic peak of Roseberry Topping. We'll bag the trig point and enjoy the amazing views over the moors and beyond, then have a detour to Captain Cook's monument on the way back to Great Ayton

Meeting Point: Great Ayton Green, High Street, TS9 6BW

Distance: 10 km / 6 miles

Elevation: 350m / 1250 ft

Duration: 3.5 - 4 hours

Facilities: Toilets and refreshments are available in Great Ayton at the start of the route.


The essentials:

Please come prepared for a day out on the hills in beautiful British weather! Trails can be rough and wet, so wear comfortable walking boots or sturdy trainers. Make sure you pack waterproofs, spare layers, and plenty of water and snacks to keep you going.

There is no set pace - we will walk according to the group and ensure no-one feels left behind. All our routes include plenty of opportunities to stop and pause to rest, eat and change layers.
