An Evening at Brookwood 2026

An Evening at Brookwood 2026

Brookwood Military CemeteryPirbright, Woking, Surrey
Thursday, June 11  •  3 PM - 8:30 PM
Overview

We return to Brookwood for another beautiful Summer's evening of music, history and remembrance.

Excitingly, this year's concert coincides with the opening of our new First World War Memorial. Because of this, the evening will be slightly more First World War focused.

The concert will begin at 6pm, but we invite you to come and enjoy Brookwood and a whole host of activities beforehand.

From 3pm until the concert begins, there will be regular historical tours, activities for children, Living history, stalls from the Horticultural team at Brookwood, the CWGC and the CWGF, as well as a selection of food vendors.

Just before 6pm, we will ask you to find a place to sit within good sight of the performance area.

The acts on the night include:

We encourage you to bring camping chairs and picnic blankets. There will be food and drink available to buy, but you are also more than welcome to bring your own picnic.

By coming along, you are helping us keep the memories of those who died during the World Wars alive, as all proceeds from the evening support the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.

Located in the heart of Surrey and just a short train ride from London, Brookwood Military Cemetery is the Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s largest UK site.

If you are driving, the closest place to park is the Brookwood station multi-storey car park. (what3words: ///latest.encounter.socket)

You can walk through the station into the Cemetery. We will have stewards on site to direct you. If you have access needs, please email supporters@cwgc.org, and we can organise closer parking.

If you are coming via train, you can access the cemetery from the station.

In the event of extreme weather, we will cancel the event and endeavour to reschedule as best we can.

Please dress appropriately for an outside event.

Please note that although we allow dogs at Brookwood Military Cemetery, dogs are not permitted at Brookwood Civilian Cemetery.

Disclaimer: This event will be filmed.
