Swindon and Wiltshire Growth Hub Business Networking Breakfast with IoT
Join us at the Institute of Technology for facilitated networking over breakfast butties, a brew and a chance to babble about business!
Partnering with the Swindon and Wiltshire Institute of Technology, this event is a great opportunity to meet up with fellow business owners, managers and leaders from across the South West.
Why should I come along?
As well as a fantastic, locally sourced bacon bap (vegetarian and vegan options available with prior notice), unlimited tea and coffee during the morning and facilitated networking, there will be a short expert talk plus a 'Knowledge Point' session giving you information about new sources of assistance to help your business develop.
If you've got an issue, a niggle or a business-health question, our team and your peers attending will be pleased to help you. There'll be plenty of time for general networking and chat too, so come along and join in the fun.
Speaker
Shiv Vya(ACCA) from Compliance to Confidence Accounting leads client relationships at the practice and brings over six years of accounting experience, specialising in working with owner-managed businesses across both compliance and advisory. Before that, he stepped away from accounting for a period to help run his family's post office — which gives him a perspective on business ownership that goes beyond the numbers. He understands the pressures, the decisions, and what it actually takes to build something and reach an exit point.
At this session, Shiv will be covering Making Tax Digital — what it is, who it applies to and when, what you need to have in place, and how to avoid the common pitfalls that catch businesses out. The session is designed for business owners who are new to MTD and approaching their first submissions, so there's no jargon and plenty of time for questions.
Here's what previous attendees have said about our networking breakfasts:
"Fantastic event. Great advice and loads of lovely people. I am looking forward to attending more events in the future."
"Today was great, really nice to meet people who have gone through and are going through the same experiences as me. Some great advice from experts and peers. Made a number of contacts - few are in my field but may know people who are, and their own services will be useful in the future".
