Seaweed Soap Making Workshop with Bee Home Cottage

Naturally usefulRafford, Moray
Saturday, June 13  •  1 PM - 4 PM
Overview

With thanks to Lisa at Bee Home Cottage for offering a MOC Seaweed Soap making workshop for £35 per person

The lovely Lisa and John from Bee Home Cottage, will guide you through the process of making your own olive oil and coconut oil bar soap (also known as castile soap.) This is a great all-arounder moisturising soap - which is also useful for grating into your own homemade laundry detergent, for artists with paint brushes to wash, and for felting wool! You’ll take your soap home (in an upcycled oat milk carton mold) to cut and cure.

We invite you to sustainably forage a small amount of seaweed, wash in fresh water and bring dried to the workshop to grind up to add to your soap.

The workshop will include a tutorial on the properties of essential oils and dried flowers and plants that Lisa and John will provide so you can craft your own bespoke aroma therapeutic blend (or just leave it beautifully plain and free from anything if you prefer!)

The workshop cost is £35. Cake and tea will be provided in Naturally Useful’s new “The Hive” education center in their Rafford willow field at Marcassie Farm!

By getting a ticket for this event you agree to have your email address shared with Bee Home Cottage for the £35 invoice to be emailed to you which will need to be paid to confirm your attendance.
