Art as Play Drop In Workshop

Come and enjoy the process of creating purely to unwind and have fun!

Welcome to Art as Play - a workshop where all rules you’ve learnt about art and mastering the ‘perfect technique’, or art being something you can only do if you ‘have talent’ are left at the door.

This is a space to unlearn perfectionism and create from a place of playfulness and fun. There are no rules in this workshop. There will be access to collage scraps, pencils, paints and other artistic supplies so you can choose what you feel comfortable using and allow yourself to make a joyful creative mess, over an attempt to make an artistic ‘masterpiece’.

Please note - no artistic techniques or skills will be taught in this workshop. This workshop isn’t about skills and learning, but creating a place for you to unwind, get messy and have fun. If you’ve always wanted to give art a go - but have had doubts, come along! You might surprise yourself. This is all about the process - not the final outcome.

This event is drop-in, so feel free to come in at any point during the workshop, but we receommend allowing yourself 1-2 hours to create.

The workshop takes place in the basement of the SoLo Craft Fair shop in Leadenhall Market, which sells on behalf of 100 different makers, please feel free to browse the shop before your workshop.
