Curious about My Brain Star but not sure where to start?
This session will be hosted by Dawn Lancaster and Warren Hughes from Outcomes Star.
Join us for a webinar designed to help service managers and anyone else involved in support or service development understand the Star, explore implementation, and see how it can add value to your service provision.
Over the past year, local Headways have had access to My Brain Star - a new, evidence‑based approach to outcomes measurement and keywork, designed specifically for people living with an acquired brain injury. Some of you are already using the Star to improve support practice, strengthen keywork, and demonstrate impact.
We want to make sure everyone feels confident, supported, and equipped to explore whether My Brain Star is right for their setting and how to implement it well if they choose to.
Who is this workshop for?
All Headway service managers and any other key staff who influence how support is delivered - including leads, coordinators, and anyone interested in exploring Star implementation. Particularly those not currently using the My Brain Star who want to explore whether it could benefit their team and the people they support
What you’ll gain
This session focuses on the bigger picture - how you can lead or support implementation effectively and make the Star meaningful a meaningful part of your service. You’ll leave with the insights, tools, and confidence to make informed decisions about how to introduce My Brain Star into your support provision.
Join us in May to…
- Understand what My Brain Star is, why it was developed, and who it’s for in clear, accessible terms relevant to frontline practice and service design.
- Explore what successful implementation looks like in a busy service: planning, staff buy‑in, integrating the Star into existing systems, and ensuring it adds value rather than workload.
- Explore if the Star is a good fit and where it may not be by looking at practice considerations and identifying potential barriers and challenges
- See how Star data can support service monitoring, reporting, and funding conversations giving you meaningful insights into outcomes and progress.
- Learn how managers can use the Star in supervisions and staff development to strengthen reflective practice and consistency.
- Hear examples of where the Star is already making a difference to engagement, goal setting, and evidencing change.
- Walk away with practical next steps for your own service, whether you’re starting from scratch or looking to strengthen what you already do.
