International Day of Women in Mining 2026 Global Celebration

On 15 June each year, the global mining community comes together to recognise the women who have shaped—and continue to shape—the industry through the International Day of Women in Mining (IDWIM).

In 2026, under the theme “Voices of Impact”, the event highlights the growing momentum toward gender equality and inclusive leadership across mining and the tangible contributions driving change across the sector.

IDWIM is now part of the International WIM Alliance, bringing the campaign into closer alignment with the global network of WIM Organisations. The 2026 global event is being organised by the same community team as in previous years, with IWIM continuing to provide logistical support.

Join us on Monday, 15 June 2026, for a 2-hour global online event:

El 15 de junio de cada año, la comunidad minera global se reúne para reconocer a las mujeres que han dado forma —y continúan dando forma— a la industria a través del Día Internacional de la Mujer en la Minería (IDWIM).

En 2026, bajo el tema “Voces de Impacto”, el evento destaca el creciente impulso hacia la igualdad de género y el liderazgo inclusivo en la minería, así como las contribuciones tangibles que están impulsando el cambio en todo el sector.

IDWIM ahora forma parte de la Alianza Internacional WIM, alineando la campaña más estrechamente con la red global de organizaciones WIM. El evento global de 2026 está siendo organizado por el mismo equipo comunitario de años anteriores, con IWIM continuando brindando apoyo logístico.

Le 15 juin de chaque année, la communauté minière mondiale se réunit pour reconnaître les femmes qui ont façonné — et continuent de façonner — l’industrie à travers la Journée internationale des femmes dans l’industrie minière (IDWIM).

En 2026, sous le thème « Voices of Impact », l’événement met en lumière l’élan croissant vers l’égalité des genres et le leadership inclusif dans le secteur minier, ainsi que les contributions concrètes qui favorisent le changement à travers le secteur.

L’IDWIM fait désormais partie de l’Alliance internationale WIM, rapprochant la campagne du réseau mondial des organisations WIM. L’événement mondial 2026 est organisé par la même équipe communautaire que les années précédentes, avec le soutien logistique continu d’IWIM.
