Invitation to SEND Personal Budgets Webinar
We’d love to hear from you!
Personal Budgets are an important part of how we work with families to personalise support. The Local Authority is hosting an online webinar for parents and carers relating to SEND Personal Budgets, following the release of the new guidance document for families. We are inviting parents and carers to join us to hear about the next steps, which includes our plans for widespread staff training. We want to ensure this training includes young peoples and families lived experiences, We want to make sure our approach, and the training we provide to our staff, truly reflects what matters most to you.
What the session will cover
- A short overview of the work completed to produce the new parent/ carer guidance document.
- Our draft staff training plan: how we are developing our team’s skills and understanding.
- An open discussion where you can tell us:
- What works well (or not so well) with Personal Budgets
- What support would help you and your family
- What you feel our training should focus on to improve families’ experiences
Why your voice matters
Your lived experience helps shape better services. By taking part, you’ll directly influence how our staff are trained and how we work with families in the future.
