The Chemistry of Curiosity: Science and Sip

Metric, Beit QuadrangleLondon, England
Sunday 7 June  •  2:50 PM - 3:50 PM
Overview

Get hands-on and explore the chemistry of curiosity at Lit Lab’s Science and Sip session where you'll make a colour-changing drink!

Join Lit Lab for a fun ‘Science and Sip’ session!

Explore chemistry in action through two hands-on demonstrations: a colour-changing mocktail drink inspired by the chemistry of colour, followed by a dramatic reaction revealing the forces behind modern chemical science. Expect colour, reaction and conversation—and a reminder that curiosity remains one of the most powerful forces shaping the world around us.

Lit Lab is the UK’s first and only ‘Science and Sip’ experience. Their mission is to help adults to reconnect with science, and have a great time doing it!

Through their 18+ Science and Sip social events, guests come together to transform into scientists: conducting explosive experiments, making creative drinks and playing for the chance to win prizes in games against other scientists.

Follow them on socials @LitLabLondon or visit www.litlab.co.uk to find out more.

This event is part of Science Cabaret at the Great Exhibition Road Festival on 6-7 June 2026.

The event takes place in a zone for people aged 18+ only. People younger than 18 will not be allowed entry into the building.

Please arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the start time. Your ticket gives you priority access, however, as this is a free event if you do not arrive 10 minutes before the start time your space may be reallocated. Early arrival reduces this risk.
