What  kinds of things can I bid for?

Accepted Answer

Vouchers for meals, services, etc., from local businesses, e.g. spa experiences (Annabel’s and others), Lily’s Nails, swimming, Gallico, homemade cake monthly for a year; a homemade soup monthly for a year,  car washing, DIY services, tailor-made bags, hosted private meal  - and lots more to come!

What can I expect from the evening?

Come and bag a bargain to support the care of our beautiful historic building and a local community asset. Join us for an evening of fun and fundraising where everyone is welcome in support of very good causes. There’ll be great company, light refreshments and drinks, and terrific offers to bid for!

Who are Friends of  Miss Whalley's Field?

Accepted Answer

Miss Whalley left the Field to the people of Lancaster as a memorial to her brother who died in WW1. It is a designated war memorial overlooking the Bay. The Friends have planted wild flowers/bulbs, trees & fruit bushes, and installed benches. Funds raised will be spent on further volunteer work.

What does Christ Church, Lancaster, do?

Christ Church is a Grade II Listed historic and very beautiful building, with many rare features, and with a lovely Eco-Church garden with stunning views across the Bay. The building badly needs repair so that its work with and for the local community can continue for another 150 years.
