PhD Participatory Research Network: May Session

Co-dissemination strategies and creating real impact within the confines of a doctorate

Welcome to the May session of the PhD Participatory Research Network!

For this session, we are delighted to welcome three facilitators from The McPin Foundation: Femi, Hanna, and George. Together, they will lead a workshop focused on co-dissemination strategies and ways to create a lasting legacy and real impact within the confines of a doctorate.

About our Speakers

Femi is the Senior Research and Evaluation Manager at McPin. Here he uses almost 20 years experience of participatory action research in range of contexts (academic, community and policy) to help further McPin's mission of mental health research and evaluation gives Lived Experience the prominence it deserves.

Hanna is a participatory action research co-ordinator, facilitator and artist. She works with young people using research as a tool for social change to address the issues that affect them. Hanna has spent the majority of the last 2 years supporting a group of 19 young people to tackle youth violence and mental health issues in London. Previously, she has worked across the research, design and arts sectors to ensure lived experiences voices are at the heart of social change.

George works across the adults and young people’s teams at McPin as a Patient and Public Involvement in Research Officer. He is particularly interested in involving more young men in mental health research, and his main project is the Target Trials in Mental Health program.

This is a hybrid event. This registration page is for in-person attendance at Room 2.40, Franklin Wilkins Building, King's College London. Facilitators will be joining us in person.
